So, Yu has managed to gather around him an unlikely group to help him search for the ancient city of Agarti. Their first stop finds them visiting Yu's mother, Shimako. She informs Yu that he's got a half brother who lives in Turkey...hmmm, how come it took her so long to tell him that!? And how is that dude, Gilgamesh, impregnating so many women when he's been dead for so long!?

Prior to being a pioneering author in the field of comics, Kazuo Koike (b. 1936) learned how to write stories from Kiichiro Yamate, an author of period plays, after graduating from college. Most of his work covers diverse areas such as novels, scripting and lyrical composition, all of which were long running hits after they were released. He is a founder of Koike Syoin (his own publishing firm) as well as a professor at Osaka College of Art.
