Masahiro Shibata (b. 1949) first broke into the manga scene with `Shirobara no chiru Umi` (`The Ocean of White Roses`). His love for visual entertainment has led him to create other popular series, including `Akai kiba Series: Blue Sonnet` and `Love Syncloid`. He greatly respects and is influenced by the works of Osamu Tezuka and Fujiko Fujio.
