Editorial Reviews
From School Library Journal
Grade 2-5–Computer animation enters the comic-book world with this delightfully funny graphic novel. It's a collection of previously published comics and original stories that highlight the working relationship between Livingston, a scientist mole, and his goofball assistant, Esteban, a weasel whose ultrasensitivity to chemicals makes him an excellent test subject for new products. With bright, colorful pictures, the stories usually consist of observing Esteban's outlandish reactions to Livingston's concoctions, such as floating to the ceiling, shrinking to microscopic size, or singing uncontrollably. Interspersed among the stories are simple science experiments and silly jokes that kids love such as, "What kind of dog tells time? A watch dog!" This welcome addition to juvenile comics collections is sure to appeal.–Karen T. Bilton, Somerset County Library, Bridgewater, NJ
