About the Author
Gary M. Frederick, O.D., was born to Wanda and James Frederick in Brownwood, Texas, on October 18, 1944. Wanda was sixteen and James was a young bomber pilot in the Pacific.
He is a practicing optometrist and is a Texas Optometry Board Certified Glaucoma Specialist. Some of his hobbies and interests include running, weight lifting, biking, canoeing and sculpturing. He and his four brothers traveled most of their lives as army dependants.
His family and travels have provided him with a broad cultural background to draw upon. Included in his family are German, Irish, Hispanic, and African American heritage.
He lives in Texas with his wife Dori, a pharmacist, and has two grown children and two grandchildren.
Gary is deeply concerned with society and its many problems. His main concerns are politics, religion, the environment, and animal cruelty. He is presently working on his second book, More Twisted Toons.
