About the Author
Chad Carrier serves as Technical Marketing at M-Audio. Another drummer and producer, Chad has been working with computer-based music since he was 16. Heavily involved in the electronic music scene in LA, he can be found doing live performances using Ableton Live. Chad has also written tutorials for Ableton and is also involved in product design at M-Audio. Dave Hill Jr. is Ableton?s director of PR and Artist Relations. He is a musician who has used Live since its inception. As a drummer, producer and percussionist, he has collaborated with artists like Michael Shrieve (original drummer of Santana), Brad Houser (Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians, Critters Buggin?) and James Rotondi (Air, Mr. Bungle, and the Grassy Knoll). Dave?s writing credits include being a regular contributor to both Remix www.remixmag.com and Mix Magazine www.mixonline.com (doing software, CD, and gear reviews) as well as writing my bi-monthly column "Drums and Wires" in Modern Drummer Magazine www.moderndrummer.com .
