About the Author
Krishna Palepu joined the Harvard Business School in 1983 after receiving Bachelors and Masters degrees in physics from Andhra University, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, and a Ph.D. from MIT. The late Victor Bernard was a CPA and held a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. He was Director of the Paton Accounting Center at the University of Michigan and Director of Research for the American Accounting Association. Paul Healy joined the MIT Sloan School of Management faculty in 1983, where he teaches financial accounting and financial statement analysis. retail
