About the Author
Michael Bliss teaches English and Film at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Among his books are "Brian De Palma, Martin Scorsese and Michael Cimino" (both published by Scarecrow Press), "Justified Lives: Morality and Narrative in the Films of Sam Peckinpah", and, with Christina Banks, "What Goes Around Comes Around: The Films of Jonathan Demme". Bliss's book on director Peter Weir, "Dreams Within a Dream", will be published in the Fall of 1999.
